Mobile phones can be considered one of the best inventions during the last 50years and the most popular among users. There different uses like storing information, GPD, browsing etc. Green mobiles have come into existence as they have some critical differences between them and mobiles we have been using.

The normal cell phones we use has thousands of components like any manufactured products. The number of cell phones in use runs into billions. Some calculation is able to show a person who talks into his phone for one hour and for a year, produces Carbon dioxide amounting to a ton or so. This is estimated to be about the same as jet plane will produce on single trip from New York to London.

What benefits do we get if green mobiles are used in preference to the ones being used now?

The most significant is the use of recycled material and the consequent reduction of virgin materials being used.

Because plastics are reusable up to six times, the accumulation of plastics can be reduced. The eco friendly green mobiles use only recycled plastics for production. These form about 50% to 80%.

Because green phones do not use any chemicals which are poisonous like, lead, cadmium, mercury etc; they are environmentally friendly.

These green mobiles have new designs which use also new software. The new designs are meant for reducing the use of energy for operation. Getting the phone charged frequently will no longer be required and because of that there is considerable reduction in consumption of electricity.

Present day mobiles are packaged in big boxes with lot of unnecessary materials. Green mobile manufacturers are trying to avoid this practice by reducing the use of materials or by using recycled materials.
